SciFi and Fantasy Art Swamp by Katherine Catlin


	A scene from a story in progress; Aidan, the antagonist, and Jak, the protagonist, are about to battle it out in a swamp. Unfortunately, some of the swamp beasties have gnawed on each of them first, making life really difficult. This is another one I plan to do in color, but wanted to post the sketch first.

Very good poses and expressions ... would be interesting in color... now if you get the woods more in detail (never was my strong point either and yours MUCH better than mine). Suggestion: if you don't want to draw woods/trees, make it more either computer generated or from a photo.....

Well, those wounds look like they're rather old, kinda like they're just old, painful scars: SO, if they were to have blood dripping down out of them, like they "beasties'" teeth had hit an artery, and the blood soaks through they're clothes, and drips into the swamp water, and maybe if part of they're bone is showing... Just a suggestion though, it's real cool like this!! Melikes long hair very much so!!!
